Accommodations:
Situated on a flat overlooking miles of skinny water, Lagoon View Resort lives up to its’ name. Offering a soft, white sand beach and plenty of shaded lounging areas, it’s perfect for the reliving the adventure of the one that got away or enjoying a day off. Plenty of palm trees and privacy add to the serenity of this pristine place.
Lagoon View Resort is located on the edge of the village of London. Take a right at the main road as you leave the airport. A 15 minute drive will bring you to Lagoon View Resort where a large, white sailboat welcomes you, letting you know your vacation has begun!
Rooms/Rates:
As there are only weekly flights offered to and from Christmas Island, all rooms are priced weekly. (Neither Fiji Air or Christmas Island are requiring Covid vaccinations)
Air-Conditioned Rooms for DIY Anglers:
• Sleep 1-2 anglers • Private bathroom and shower and refrigerator • Includes all meals, airport transfers and laundry service • US and Australian outlets $1150 US per week, single occupancy or $950 US per week per fisherman, double occupancy
Air-Conditioned Rooms for Guided Anglers:
• Includes lodging, meals, airport transfers and laundry service • Daily boat and guide (2 fishermen per guide) $2900 US per week, single occupancy or $2400 US per week per fisherman, double occupancy
Super Single Program:
• Includes lodging, meals, airport transfers and laundry service • Private AC room, bathroom, shower and refrigerator for the week and a private boat and guide every day. $3500 US per week.
Fishing License:
A fishing license will cost you$250. It is good for a year.
Rental Car:
Rental cars are $125-200 per day. If you are planning to do most or all of your trip DIY we strongly suggest you have a car for your entire stay. When conditions permit, there is good bonefishing in the flats right behind Lagoon View, but more often than not the water isn’t clear enough to fish so you’ll want to be able to get around.
Boats:
A boat and one guide for the day is $310 and can accommodate up to 4 anglers. Searching the flats for bonefish, triggerfish or GT are options as well as trolling the blue water for tuna, wahoo, marlin or milkfish. Additional guides are $100 per day.
Meals:
All meals are served at any time of your choosing in a separate dining area. Meals are very simple, but well prepared and may include fresh seafood (lobster and tuna or grouper), pork, chicken, steak, some vegetables, rice and beans. Lunches generally include sandwiches, chips, fruit, etc. Please remember you are on a very remote island and there aren’t endless options. Contact us if you have dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate.
Terms and Cancellation Policy:
Payment:
All reservations will be secured with a $200/$400 deposit. This deposit is required within 14 days upon booking your reservation.
Failure to make this payment will lead to a cancellation of your reservation and loss of deposit money.
All deposits must be paid via Paypal or check in US dollars.
Cancellation:
Any reservation canceled more than 90 days prior to your trip will incur a $50 per person, per week administrative fee, with all other monies returned.
Any reservation canceled less than 90 days prior to the start of your trip, will forfeit your deposit.
Visas:
Skinny Waters cannot help with the Visa process.
Please check the requirements for your home country to determine if you will need a Visa when you arrive.
Citizens from most countries, including the US, do not need one, but there are some that do require one.
