Opening Delayed Again!

Not surprising anyone, Fiji Air has once again delayed their flight schedule onto Christmas Island. Flights now resume, allegedly, at the beginning of July. Keep tying and keep hoping that this time it really happens. The folks there have been and continue to struggle without the money fishermen bring in.

The fact that most other fishing destinations have been opening up increasing the frustration factor here. Skinny Waters has been successfully booking fishermen to Mexico and the Bahamas for months. Fly fishermen and still angling, but not on Kiritimati. For those of us wanting to fish this premiere DIY destination, we’ll have to wait a little longer…
