Christmas Island and the 2021 Fly Fishing Film Tour

Before Covid, before the shut down and before things quit being normal, seven ladies and photographer/film maker, Jessica Haydahl Richardson visited Christmas Island for a week of guided fly fishing at Lagoon View Resort. Fast forward to March 2021 and Jessica’s film, “Dropped in the Pacific”, was chosen to be featured in this years Fly Fishing Film Tour. This years film festival will only be available online.

These anglers had varying skill levels and experience, but all were excited for their first trip to the atoll. Skinny Waters had them well prepared and fired up for their guided fly fishing adventure. We met both in person and online offering first hand experience regarding what to bring and what to expect. While Skinny Waters handled all the logistics, Jessica was there to capture the excitement, the elements, the fish and the fun. They experienced pouring rain, wind and all that nature could throw at them, but still ended up catching fish and having a great time. The film follows their exploits with interviews, insights and, of course, plenty of fishing footage.
